A practical checklist before hiring a crane in Vietnam: access, ground, load data, safety and site coordination, so lifts happen on schedule.

Crane hire checklist: what to prepare before the crane arrives

Updated: · Binh Tien Crane

Most crane-hire delays come from a site that is not ready. This is the list our team goes through with clients before each lift.

Access and ground

  • Access roads wide and strong enough for the crane or its trailers; check bridges, culverts and overhead lines on the route.
  • A level, compacted set-up area; steel plates where the ground is soft.
  • Room for outriggers, counterweight swing and boom assembly.

Load information

  • Exact weight, centre of gravity and lifting points.
  • Drawings or photos and overall dimensions.

Safety

  • Barricade the lift zone and assign a banksman and signaller.
  • Check overhead power lines and nearby structures.
  • Watch the weather and stop when wind exceeds the chart limit.
  • Valid inspection certificates for crane and gear; qualified operators.

Coordination

Agree the lift supervisor, start time, lift sequence and a fallback plan. Send these details through our contact page or call +84 984 789 899 and we will prepare the lift plan.
